Project Description

Packaging Design

Introduction

Cora Honey Paste takes its form from nature’s own honey maker. The packaging is inspired by the beehive and the bee’s abdomen, the part of the bee that carries the honey source. Bold black stripes wrap the pack, echoing the bee’s markings. Before a customer tastes the honey, the pack already tells them where it comes from.

Challenge

Honey shelves are full of look-alike jars and squeeze bottles. Cora Honey Paste needed packaging that would:
  • Stand out on a crowded shelf and be recognised at a glance.
  • Feel natural and comfortable in the hand, and easy to open, hold and dispense.
  • Tell the honey’s story through shape and pattern, not just a label

Approach

The bee would be a perfect inspiration in leading the design.
  • Form: A rounded, hive-inspired body that mirrors the bee’s abdomen, shaped for a secure, comfortable grip.
  • Stripes: Black stripes depicted faithfully across the pack, instantly recognisable and unmistakably “bee.”
  • Colour: Warm golden tones against deep black bands to signal richness, purity, and natural quality.
  • Function: A convenient dispensing design that makes the paste easy to scoop or squeeze with minimal mess.
  • Shelf Presence: A distinctive silhouette and bold pattern that draw the eye, whether packs are shelved singly or stacked in a block.

Outcome

The result is packaging that looks like its story. Shoppers are drawn in by a shape they remember, and they enjoy the ease of handling once it’s home. The design builds brand recognition, strengthens shelf appeal and turns a simple purchase into a satisfying experience.

Conclusion

The primary aim of Cora Honey Paste Innovative Packaging Design is to deliver ease of use, a compelling shop shelf display and real appeal for shoppers.
